Franklin Ayala

Artist Profile

Franklin was born and raised in New York City and has trained with some of the most prominent dancers and professional dance instructors worldwide. As a dancer Franklin has proven to be extremely versatile, excelling at teaching, performing and competing, while also having a vast knowledge of Latin music. He was inspired by his family and his culture at the early age of three, to embrace Latin music and his love of Latin music was one of the driving factors that led him to dance.

Franklin debuted as a dancer in 1997 with the Mario Diaz Dance Review and has since performed at some of the most well known and well attended Salsa Congress’s throughout the world. He has also performed with some of the more acclaimed salsa musicians, such as Jose Alberto El Canario, and Tito Nieves. In 2002 he had the honor of dancing for Cuban Pete and Barbara Craddock, two legends in Salsa/Mambo and was featured in the off-Broadway cabaret “Dance with Me”.

Ayala is also a headlining DJ in the New York nightlife scene and at Salsa Congress’ around the world. Ayala’s musical selection carries the authenticity of the New York Salsa scene and the diversity of its international influences as he seamlessly blends classic and modern Salsa with a keen sense for setting the mood and keeping the party at its peak.
