Normand Rocha – Salsa Fever Dance Studio

Artist Profile

For over 13 years Normand has been teaching and performing Salsa Casino across his hometown in the city Miami. Immersed as a performer (singer & actor) since the age of 5, Normand began his career in the entertainment business by working for the most popular Hispanic variety TV Show “Sabado Gigante” for Univision where he was a member of the original “Clan Infantil” which was nominated for an EMMY Award.

He was also the main voice over announcer and/or actor in many commercials for renowned companies such as Microsoft, Burger King, Kraft, Sea World, etc. and worked with Estefan Enterprises as a voice-over translator of various Mexican soap operas for Europe winning the Gaspar Pumarejo Award for Best Young TV/Radio announcer.

Following his love for performing, Normand continued pursuing his singing and acting career at New World School of the Arts and later at the University of Miami where he graduated with a Bachelor of Music Degree in Musical Theatre and discovered his passion for dancing Salsa. During his 10 years of teaching Salsa at UM, Normand became one of the longest tenured instructors for the largest clubs in UM at the time called Salsa Craze, where he shared his love for teaching and dancing with over 300 students per year and performed in several dance teams.

In 2013, Normand was blessed with accomplishing one of his biggest dreams, founding his own Salsa School called Salsa Fever Miami at the most historic salsa spot in Miami Beach at Yuca Lounge where he teaches hundreds of tourists from around the globe and locals how to dance Salsa Casino.
