Performer Terms & Conditions
Deadline – Casting deadline is June 30, 2017. All applications must be received before the deadline to be considered for the 2017 lineup. Applications will be accepted until all performance spots are filled or the deadline date. Whichever comes first. Performance Spots – Applications will be reviewed before a team is confirmed. Submitting an audition form/application does not guarantee a spot to perform at the event. Acts chosen are at the discretion of Miami Salsa Congress producers and staff. Passes – All performers are required to have a pass in order to participate in the event. If your application is approved, you will receive instructions on how to obtain your passes at the discounted performers price. Passes must be purchased before the deadline provided in your welcome letter in order to secure your performance spot. Performers passes are reserved only for individuals who will perform on stage at the event. Directors are responsible for the full price of any passes distributed to individuals on their application that do not perform on stage. Participation – Performers must follow the “2017 Miami Salsa Congress Performer Guidelines” found in the welcome package that will be emailed to you once your act has been accepted. Your participation is contingent upon meeting all the requirements outlined within the welcome package. The Miami Salsa Congress reserves the right to cancel your participation, at any time, if you or any member of your group fails to meet any of the requirements outlined in the package, or for any other reason. Media Waiver and Release – If accepted, you agree that by participating in the Miami Salsa Congress you consent to being photographed, interviewed and/or videotaped by representatives of The Miami Salsa Congress and media outlets, including but not limited to, newspaper, T.V. internet, and radio stations. Any information or images obtained from those activities may be reproduced by The Miami Salsa Congress and/or the public media for use in advertising, publicity and/or educational activities, including but not limited to websites, publications, videos, print and television news. By submitting your application you hereby waive any claims you and/or any member of your team/company may have, and release Miami Salsa Congress and its representatives from liability of claims arising out of such activities.
